Community acupuncture is practiced in a group, rather than one-on-one setting. This involves treating everyone in a large communal, semiprivate space while resting comfortably in chairs. Patients can be treated quickly and effectively while keeping the cost to a minimum. We treat using distal points and micro systems (legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, etc.) these points are very effective and allow us to treat while patients remain clothed.
Treating in a community setting is closer to the way acupuncture is practiced in China. Structuring our clinic in this way helps us provide treatments to more of our community and allows you to receive effective acupuncture treatments at an affordable cost. CHA operates on a sliding scale to keep your health care within your budget so that you can get the number of treatments you need in a shorter period of time. The idea is to make acupuncture as accessible as possible and a comfortable way to begin your journey with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
There is no substitute for the level of care you can get with one of our private sessions, but for many people private treatments are not necessary long term. Once your concerns are stabilized, community acupuncture is a great way to help move you towards your health goals and to maintain your progress.
Community Acupuncture is especially effective at treating:
Smoking cessation Addiction
Anxiety Depression
Headaches Sleep issues
Digestive issues Weight gain/loss
Chronic pain Sports injury
